172 Candidates Caught Cheating in Karachi Matriculation Board Exams
In a significant crackdown, 172 candidates have been caught cheating during the ongoing annual matriculation board exams under the Karachi Educational Board. On the second day of the science group exams, vigilance teams uncovered various cheating methods employed by the candidates, leading to immediate action by the authorities.
Board officials reported that 40 candidates were caught using mobile phones, while 25 others were found with printed materials intended for cheating. A total of 72 cases of cheating were recorded from different examination centers.

The monitoring teams confiscated 7 mobile phones from those involved in cheating. Detailed reports from various exam centers include:
Gulistan-e-Jauhar
17 candidates were caught, 8 with mobile phones.
Shah Faisal Colony:
5 candidates were caught with mobile phones, 2 with printed materials.
Landhi:
3 candidates were caught, 2 with mobile phones and 1 with printed material.
Korangi:
2 candidates were caught with mobile phones.
North Karachi
6 candidates caught, 2 with mobile phones and 4 with printed materials.
These incidents have been forwarded to the examination committee for further investigation and action. The educational authorities emphasized their commitment to ensuring a fair examination process and reiterated their zero-tolerance policy towards cheating.
